ALBANY
BARREL FARM

Head on down to Friday’s sundowner at the Barrel Farm. Enjoy freshly shucked Leeuwin Coast Albany Rock Oysters with Yilgarnia Wines as the sun sets while listening to live local music. A perfect spot to unwind with friends and family with plenty of room for the kids to run around.

PREMIER HOTEL

Situated in the heart of Albany, the Premier Hotel is the perfect place grab a meal and drink. For the duration of Taste Great Southern, savour succulent Great Southern marron grilled and served with your choice of wasabi and lime or garlic and saffron butter, paired with herbed greens, citrus dressing and lemon potato fingers for only $45.

ORANJE TRACTOR WINERY

If you are after some tasty locally grown produce, then don’t miss Oranje Tractor’s special pop up Farm Shop open especially just for Taste.
Along with an array of home-grown fruits and veges, you’ll also find Cherry Boots perserves and olive oil, Albany Community Garden seedlings, Old School Honey and more!
And of course there is Oranje Tractor’s wine and special vermouth to try as well.
Local potter, Collyn Gawned, Artist-in-Residence works will also be on display influenced by the Japanese practice of seeking beauty in imperfection and informed by landscape and ocean.

DUE SOUTH

Enjoy freshly shucked Leeuwin Coast Albany Rock Oysters while taking in the picturesque views of King George Sound at Albany’s Due South.
Watch the best shuckers in the business Tom from Shucks and Nibs and ‘The Oyster King’ Jerry Fraser crack open these tasty morsels for you to devour along with a glass of Great Southern wine.
Oysters $26 for ½ dozen and $36 a dozen.

DENMARK
ROCKCLIFFE WINERY

Pop into Rockcliffe for more than just wine — quench your thirst with Artisan Brewing’s special vintage ales. Meet the founder, taste some special anniversary beers, their Belgian specialties, and enjoy their craft beers alongside mouthwatering pizza, gelato, and fudge.

DENMARK CHOCOLATE COMPANY

Do you love port and chocolate? Then make sure you add the Denmark Chocolate Company to your itinerary. Select the $10 Liqueur and Port Paddle and taste three ports and/or liqueurs paired with delicious local-made chocolate.

NULLAKI DISTILLERY

Nullaki Distillery are offering a $10 tasting paddle with a guided tasting experience showcasing all of their whiskies:
– Pinot Cask Matured (44% ABV) – Smooth barley with soft red fruit notes and a gentle spice finish.
– Tawny Cask Matured (44% ABV) – Rich caramel and vanilla flavours, finishing warm and rounded.
– Tawny Cask Strength (56% ABV) – Bold and rich, with dark fruit, oak spice, and a lingering warm finish.
They’ll also be offering two signature cocktails for $15ea:
– Coastal Storm – Tawny Cask whisky, maple syrup, orange bitters, and charred orange peel.
– Nullaki Breeze – A refreshing mix of honey, ginger, lemon, and rosemary.
KOJONUP
KOJONUP COUNTRY KITCHEN

Don’t miss the opportunity to taste a slice of Kojonup’s internationally renowned home-made ‘Country Kitchen Carrot Cake’ for only $8. Located in the centre of Kojonup on Albany Highway, Country Kitchen opened its doors 30 years ago and is still owned and run daily by Peta Zadow. All food is made and baked in-house using fresh local ingredients.

PORONGURUP
WOODLANDS DISTILLERY

Nestled in the base of the 1200 million-year-old Porongurup Range is where you’ll find Woodlands Distillery. Converted from an old shearing shed with panoramic views of the mountains this is the perfect place to taste handcrafted spirits.
Try the whisky paddle – $30 for 3 x 15ml shots or if you would like to try the other spirits on offer grab $15 paddle – 3 x 15ml shots (with mixer) choice of gin, vodka, rum.

CASTLE ROCK ESTATE

Pop into Porongurup for a relaxed, self-guided Mini-Wine Flight featuring the Diletti Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Enhance your experience with a handcrafted aristan cheese grazing box from the local Dellendale Creamery or bring your own picnic while take in sweeping views of the Stirling Ranges and discovering the elegance of Porongurup wines.
